رواية عشرة طاولة لمحمد الشاذلى الكاتب والصحفى والذى عمل بمجال الصحافة الثقافية منذ بداية الثمانينيات، وغطى مؤتمرات أدبية فى مصر والعالم، من اصغر مهرجان فى الأقاليم الى حفل توزيع جوائز نوبل فى استكهولم عام 1988، حاور محمد الشاذلى غالبية كتاب مصر والعالم العربى، كما عمل مراسلا اذاعيا وتليفزيونيا، رأس محمد الشاذلى تحرير برامج فضائية عديدة، كما صدر له رواية لمس أكتاف عام 1989 ورواية تعاسات شكلية عام 1998، وفى روايه الجديدة عشرة طاولة يحكى محمد الشاذلى بها عن مجموعة من الاصدقاء يعيشون يومهم يلعبون الطاولة، يلتقون ويطوفون على المقاهى، ومركز الكون بالنسبة لهم هو الطاولة، يتحركون حول هذا المركز فى فضاء الواقع السياسى والاجتماعى فى مصر .. مجموعة الطاولة التى تسهر يوميا معا وتغذيهم الحكايات، حتى تلك التى لا تعنيهم، ولكنهم بين رمية الزهر والحياة المعقدة فى مصر ما بين ثورتين والاحزان العميقة والعابرة فى حيواتهم الشخصية، لا يتخلون ابدا عن المغامرة وعن انهاء يومهم ” بعشرة طاولة ” على صوت ام كلثوم.
