استلقت على ظهرها، وأغمضت عينيها، واستسلمت له في مشهد صامت أقرب إلى مشهد ذبح الشاة وسلخها.. اقترب أكثر.. وابتعد قليلاً.. ثم عاد ينقض عليها من جديد.. فكلما تذوق جمالها، كلما عاد للمزيد.. لم تسقط من عينيها دمعة واحدة.. لقد تجمد فيها كل شئ.. إن السخونة التي انتقلت إليها من جسد السلطان، كانت كافية لتذيب حواسها.. ولكن البرودة التي سرت في كل خلية من خلايا جسدها، كان مصدرها قلبها الحزين..
