لقد تجاهلت الفلسفة المادية كل القوى المعنوية، والقيم الإنسانية، وحصرت المشكلة كلها في لقمة العيش أو الجنس، ونسيت أن عمل المعدة وشهوة الجنس تتساوى فيه مع الحيوان تمام المساواة، وأنهما بعض فروع المشكلة الكبرى كما أنهما ليسا أشد عراقة من المشكلات الإنسانية العليا ونفاذاً إلى الصميم.
