إذا فاتك أن تدقق في الغلاف وشرعت في قراءة هذه المجموعة مباشرة، فقد يقر في نفسك أن هذا الكتاب يجمع بين دفتيه مجموعة مختارة لعدة كتاب لا كاتب واحد هو الأديب الشاب أيمن شوقي، فمنذ بدأت متابعته لم أشعر بتشابه في أي من قصصه وتذكرت القلم الجاف المتعدد الألوان الذي كنا نفرح به في الصغر فنظل نبدل في ألوانه فرحين بيد أن القلم الجاف لم يكن يتسع لأكثر من خمسة أو ستة ألوان، بعكس قلم أيمن شوقي الذي يحمل أطيافاً متعددة ومتداخلة من الألوان لا تكان تملها أو تمل التنقل فيما بينها.
