إن تفكير زعماء الصهيونية مبني على عدة أساطير يؤسسون عليها سياستهم، وعلى أساس هذه الأساطير قام الكيان الإسرائيلي.. والتفكير العنصري الذي تبنته الصهيونية الحديثة إنما يعود بأصوله إلى فهم انتقائي جزئي لتوراة اليهود، فقد طورت الصهيونية كثيرا من المفاهيم القومية ذات الطابع العنصري، ومن هذه المفاهيم ما استمدته من توراة اليهود مثل أساطير: شعب الله المختار، وأرض الميعاد، وقصر السامية على اليهود وحدهم، والخلاص الإلهي لليهود في آخر الزمان. ومنها أساطير سياسية أضافتها الصهيونية وجعلتها من المقدسات يحرم المساس بها وهي: أساطير: البقاء والاستمرار اليهوديين، عداء الأغيار الأزلي لليهود، أرض بلا شعب لشعب بلا أرض، وإبادة النازيين ستة ملايين من اليهود (الهولوكوست)، عداء الصهيونية للنازية والفاشية، المعجزة الإسرائيلية، بناء اليهود لأهرام مصر. وهذه الأساطير سواء أكانت دينية أم سياسية لم تتجل في أقوال الصهاينة فحسب بل تجلت في ممارستهم العملية التي لاقت- ليس فقط- مباركة الغرب بل وتأيده ودعمه.
وهذا الكتاب يحاول أن يكشف أساطير الصهيونية التي تسعى إلى جعل الدين أداة للسياسة بإضفاء القداسة عليها عن طريق قراءة حرفية وانتقائية للتوراة، ويبين موقف الشرائع السماوية منها. وسارت خطة البحث في هذا الكتاب على عرض كل أسطورة مؤيدة بمصادرها التي تؤكدها، والرد عليها ردا علميا مؤيدا بالأدلة الدينية والتاريخية والمنطقية.
