وفي هذه المجموعة القصصية (يوم الكرة الأرضية) التي أقدم لها.. انطلقت فيها كلها من (التصور الإسلامي) للحياة والناس والأشياء والكون.. شأني شأن قصصين آخرين. ولكن الجديد الذي أعتبر أنني ربما انفردت به هو إدخال الثقافة الإسلامية إلى القصة، فقد ضمت القصص شيئا من القرآن أو الحديث أو الشعر أو الحكم، كل جاء في مكانه المناسب ذلك لأني أعتقد أن التصور الإسلامي القويم لا ينفصل عن الثقافة الإسلامية، وأن الشخصيات القصصية الإسلامية لا يجوز أن تمضي رحلتها في القصة دون أن يكون لها أو لبعضها شيء من الخصوصية الإسلامية وإلا .. فهي هياكل شخصيات إسلامية.. أو هي أشباح وليست شخصيات حية قادرة على الإقناع.
