عندما يعدم عشرة من علماء الإسلام في دولة مسلمة يحكمها رئيس اسمه محمد لاعتراضهم على قانون أحوا شخصية يعارض ظاهر النصوص القرآنية ويساوي مساواة مطلقة بين الرجل والمرأة في الميراث. وعندما يفقد المسلمون من القتلى والجرحى في منطقة واحدة من العالم أضعاف ما فقده العالم من قتلى في الحرب العالمية الأولى على كل الجبهات. وعندما تباد المدن ويدفن سكانها من المسلمين أحياء. فإن الأمر يصبح فيما أعتقد قضية تستحق الدراسة والبحث. وإن الذين أقاموا الدنيا ولم يقعدوها بزعم إبادة هتلر لملايين اليهود في ألمانيا وهو الزعم الذي ثبت عدم صحته هم أنفسهم الذين اعتبروا إبادة ملايين المسلمين في مشارق الأرض ومغاربها أمرا من صميم الشئون الداخلية لهذه الدول وهم الذين غضوا الطرف عن مذابح المسلمين في روسيا واعتبروا في نفس الوقت اضطهاد منشق أو مجموعة من المنشقين اليهود جريمة لا تغتفر وخرقا لمواثيق حقوق الإنسان. الحق المر الذي لا مفر من الاعتراف به أن الإسلاميين أنفسهم أعطوا القضايا الخلافية والهامشية أضعاف ما أعطوا لقضايا الوعي السياسي والحضاري من اهتمام ومساحة فعدد ما كتب من مؤلفات عن وجوب إطالة اللحية وحرمة إسبال الإزار وسنة العقيقة وتحريم زيارة قبور الأولياء وحكم الإسلام في الغناء والشطرنج إلى آخر القائمة الطويلة من القضايا التي اهترأت من كثرة ما لاكتها الألسنة يفوق ما كتب عن التحديات الحضارية التي تواجه أمتنا وما يحاك ضدها من مؤامرات يدبرها الاستكبار العالمي في الشرق والغرب.
