ساد المسلمون العالم قبل التفرق والانقسام، لأن قوتهم كانت موجهة إلى أعدائهم، ولما اختلفوا وتفرقوا شيعاً ومذاهب تتناحر وتتقاتل استنفدوا قوتهم فيما بينهم.
وقد غفل معظم المسلمين عن أهمية الوحدة وسر القوة، فيما أدرك الأعداء أن من أسباب قوة المسلمين وحدتهم فعملوا على تغذية التفرقة بينهم.، ووجدوا لديهم البيئة المساعدة لذلك.
وبعد النكبات المتتالية والحرب المشرعة على الإسلام باسم الإرهاب، بدأ بعض المسلمين يدعو إلى التوحد والتعاون والتقريب بين المذاهب.
ومؤلف هذا الكتاب أحد الناشطين المخلصين في هذا الحقل، ويمكننا أن نعد كتابه هذا صرخة من القلب تدعو إلى التنبه للأخطار والتوحد في مواجهتها، إن كان لا يخلو من العاطفة فلا ينقصه الأسلوب العلمي الرصين في شرح أسباب الاختلاف ووسائل تلافيه. وهو يتناول مواضيع حساسة يحسن الوقوف عندها لا التهرب منها، فإن لم تقنع القارئ توقفه وقفه تأمل وتفكير فيما آلت إليه حال العرب والمسلمين.
