طاهر محمد محمد العتبانى شاعر مصرى معاصر ، ولد فى فى رأس الخليج البلد، مركز شربين، محافظة الدقهلية عام 1962م، حصل على بكالوريوس العلوم والتربية، قسم الرياضيات، من كلية التربية، جامعة المنصورة، عام 1984م، يعمل معلما خبيرا بوزارة التربية والتعليم حاليا، متزوج ووهبه الله أربعة من الأبناء، نشر عددا من القصائد الشعرية والمقالات الأدبية والنقدية بالعديد من المجلات والصحف داخل مصر وخارجها، طُبع له أربعة دواوين هى: الجواد المهاجر، والطريق إلى روما، وجسد الرؤيا والروح ، وأقباس ، وله دواوين أخرى غير منشورة - كتب بعضها فى مرحلة مبكرة من عمره – منها: معذرة هند، الطريق، أشواق السندباد، كنت وليلى طفلين، طائر المساء، شجر الحقيقة، وله أيضا مسرحية شعرية عنوانها: قال الراوى، وعدد من المجموعات الشعرية للأطفال عنوانها: العصافير، كما أن له كتابان مطبوعاين (معالم على طريق الأدب الإسلامى) و(أبو تمام -حياته.عصره .شعره)، تُرجم للشاعر بمعجم البابطين للشعراء العرب المعاصرين ، كما تَرجم له أحمد الجدع بمعجم الأدباء الإسلاميين المعاصرين ، وهو عضو رابطة الأدب الإسلامى العالمية، فازت قصيدته (كنت وليلى طفلين) فى مسابقة أحسن قصيدة بالقسم العربى لهيئة الإذاعة البريطانية BBC، عام 1993م، كما فازت دراسته عن شعر غازى القصيبى وعنوانها (ديوان الحمى بين الهم الذاتى والهم الجماعى) فى مسابقة نادى الطائف الأدبية للبحوث النقدية عام 1994م، ثم فازت قصيدته الرحمة المهداة بجائزة البردة عام 2013م .

هذا الديوان ينطلق من رؤية إسلامية للحياة وما تموج به من ظواهر ومؤثرات، وهذه الرؤية الشعرية يغلفها شعور إيماني صادق، وانفعال إيجابي متفائل مؤمن بانتصار الخير في ظل التصور الإسلامي للكون والإنسان والحياة. فالمضمون الإسلامي تحفل به هذه الأقباس الفنية في صدق واقتدار وانفعال وتأثير، مع الوعي بمعطيات المقومات الفنية للنص الشعري المعاصر. والشاعر ينزع إلى التجديد الفني في تراكيبه وصوره وإيقاعاته.. إضافة جديدة وجديرة إلى ديوان الشعر الإسلامي المعاصر.
