إن قارئ هذه الدراسة بإمكانه أن يخلص إلى عدة نتائج، لعل أهمها هو خضوع المجتمع الريفي الأندلسي لعدة تأثيرات طبيعية وبشرية، وجابه البعض الآخر، فاستغل المعطيات الجغرافية والطبيعية الصعبة لصالحه باستخدام أنظمة وأساليب في الري ملائمة لوعورة التضاريس، وقلة المياه. وحافظ الفلاحون في الريف على خصوبة الأراضي الجيدة، وداوموا على زيادة خصوبتها، كما حرصوا على استغلال كافة الأراضي القابلة للزراعة، ساعدهم في ذلك استخدام أساليب وتقنيات مختلفة في الزراعة والري، تلاءم معظم أنواع التربة. ونجح الفلاحون إلى حد كبير في التغلب على تقلبات الطقس، وخطر الآفات باستخدام العديد من الأساليب والتقنيات الزراعية الذكية. وكان أتباعهم لدورة زراعية مكثفة في بعض الأراضي، ودورة زراعية غير مكثفة في بعض الأراضي الأخرى عاملا مساعدا للحفاظ على التربة، وزيادة الإنتاج في الوقت نفسه. وقد أفضت هذه العوامل السابقة – بالإضافة إلى مهارة الفلاح الأندلسي – في النهاية إلى زيادة الإنتاج الزراعي، وتحقيق قدر كبير من الاكتفاء الذاتي، ساعد الفلاحين في الريف على مواجهة الأزمات الاقتصادية، كما ساعد الحكومة في تمويل معظم مشروعات الداخلية والخارجية، وأعان على الازدهار الصناعي والتجاري.
