Book Description
فتح النافذة وأطل على الحى. كان البدر- بدر شعبان- يتألق نوره السنى فى سماء أغسطس الصافية، والنجوم من حوله تزهر باسمات فى إشفاق كأنما يرثى لإدلاله بشبابه الذى عملت مذن الأزل أنه لا يدوم. وقد أكتسى الحى بغلالة فضية بددت وحشة الليل، وأضفت على الأركان والممرات سحرا.
الليلة نصف شعبان، ودعاء شعبان يتصاعد من النوافذ القريبة، وذاك صوت غلام يهتف بصوته الرفيع: "اللهم با ذا المن ولا يمن عليه يا ذا الجلال والإكرام" والسرة تردد الدعاء وراءه. بينهم صامت وحده! وتساءل عما عسى أن يتوجه من دعاء إلى ربه؟.. وتفكر مليا، ثم رفع رأسه إلى البدر المنير، وبسط راحتيه، وغمغم بخشوع: "اللهم يا خالق الخلق، ومدير كل شئ، تعمده برحمتك الواسعة، وأسكته فسيح جناتك، وألهم والديه الحزينين الصبر والسلوان، وأنزل على قلبى السكينة والسلام، وأكتب لى فيما يستقبل من الأيام عزاء عما سلف (وهنا وضع يده قلبه). فلشد ما تحمل هذا القلب من ألم، ولشد ما تجرع من خيبة!"
هل يذكر يوم أقبل على هذا الحى وفى النفس شوق إلى التغيير؟.. لقد حدق التغيير وأحدث دمعا وحسرة، وهاهى ذا رمضان مقبل فيا للذكرى!.. أيذكر كيف استقبل رمضان الماضى؟.. أيذكر موقفه من النافذة الأخرى فى انتظار أذان المغرب وكيف رفع البصر فرأى؟!
وجرى أمام ناظريه التاريخ الذى كتبته الليالى متتابعات حتى هذه الليلة بمداد الأمل والحب والألم والحزن.
وهذه الليلة الأخيرة. وغدا يبيت فى دار جديرة، فى حى جديد، موليا الماضى ظهره.
الماضى بما أحدث من أمل وما خيب من رجاء فالوداع خان الخليلى.
