أما في وصف سكان باريس فَيُبدِع مبارك ويحسن الوصف فيهم لما كان لهم من الأثر في حب باريس أيضًا، فبعد المسيو بلانشو وابنة خاله وما هما عليه من النبل والأخلاق وحسن المعاملة والكرم، يُثني على أساتذته الذين نهل على أيديهم من العمل ضروبًا، ويلتفت متأوهًا لعدم مقدرته على الالتقاء بهم جميعًا بعد انقضاء سنوات الدراسة ورجوعه إلى مصر.
