روائي وصحفي وسياسي بيروفي/ إسباني.
حصل على جائزة نوبل في الأدب عام 2010.
برز في عالم الأدب بعد نشر روايته الأولى "المدينة والكلاب" التي نال عليها جوائز عديدة منها جائزة "ببليوتيكا بريفي" عام 1963 م وجائزة "النقد" عام 1998 م.
وقد ترجمت إلى أكثر من عشرين لغة أجنبية.
وتتالت أعماله الروائية، وتعددت الجوائز التي حصل عليها، وقد كان من أشهرها حصوله على جائزة ثيرفانتس للآداب عام 1994 م، والتي تعد أهم جائزة للآداب الناطقة بالإسبانية.
Book Description
يواجه العريف ليتوما ومساعدة توماس سلسلة اختفاء رجال لا تفسير لها في منطقة مناجم في جبال البيرو. يضاف إلى هذا اللغز المسيطر على ذهن الشرطيين انتشار أجواء عنف معادية في عالم بدائي تتلاشى فيه الحدود بين البهيمي والإنساني، وتهديد متواصل يتمثل في مقاتلي حرب العصابات الماويين من أعضاء جماعة ((الدرب المضيء)) التي تسيطر على مناطق واسعة من سلسلة الجبال.
تحت مظهر رواية تشويق، يشيد بارغارس يوسا مأساة اجتماعية ذات أصداء أسطورية، حيث يتحول العنف إلى ظاهرة جماعبة لدى فئات اجتماعية أو ايديولوجية تجعل منه عنصراً ثقافياً. وبوسائل سردية بارعة يخلق المؤلف أجواء قسوة تتحكم اللاعقلانية فيها بروح المشاركين في القصة، ليكون العنف هو أحد موضوعاتها الأكثر جلاء. وإن كانت تتداخل قصة حب الشرطي توماس الرومانسية لتخفف من وطأة ذلك العنف.
