روائي وصحفي وسياسي بيروفي/ إسباني.
حصل على جائزة نوبل في الأدب عام 2010.
برز في عالم الأدب بعد نشر روايته الأولى "المدينة والكلاب" التي نال عليها جوائز عديدة منها جائزة "ببليوتيكا بريفي" عام 1963 م وجائزة "النقد" عام 1998 م.
وقد ترجمت إلى أكثر من عشرين لغة أجنبية.
وتتالت أعماله الروائية، وتعددت الجوائز التي حصل عليها، وقد كان من أشهرها حصوله على جائزة ثيرفانتس للآداب عام 1994 م، والتي تعد أهم جائزة للآداب الناطقة بالإسبانية.
Book Description
(من قتل بالومنيو موليدو) رواية بوليسية تدور أحداثها في أمريكا اللاتينية تبحث عمن قتل موليرو، الفتى البسيط الذي وجد جثته أحد الرعاة وقد شوهت بشكل مخيف، فما هي الأسباب الحقيقية التي أدت إلى مقتل موليرو، ذلك الفلاح ذي الأصول الهندية .. ربما يكون الشاب قد انتهك حرمة تابو إجتماعي سياسي حتم على أهل البلاد إصدار حكم جعل قتله مباحاً لا يعاقب عليه مرتكبوه. هذا ما سوف يتابع التحقيق فيه "يوسا" وهو يتحرى الكثير من خصائص المجتمع الريفي في أمريكا اللاتينية.
... كان الشاب مشنوقاً ومثبتاً على شجرة الخروب الهرمة، في وضع عبثي إلى حدّ بدا معه أشبه بفزاعة عصافير أو دمية كرنفال مفتوحة الساقين منه بجثة. تراهم مثلوا به بهذا الحقد غير المحدود مثل قتله أو بعده: كان أنفه وفمه مشقوقين، وعلى جسده خثارات دم جاف، وكدمات وشقوق، حروق سجائر (...) كان حافياً، وعارياً من خصره حتى قدميه، وليس عليه سوى قميص داخلي ممزق. إنه شاب نحيل، أسمر، وبارز العظام (...) إنه أحد جنود الطيران هؤلاء الذين جاؤوا بهم إلى القاعدة الجوية في حملة التجنيد الأخيرة - وانتعشت ملامح العجوز - إنه هو: البيوراني الذي يغني ألحان البوليرو ..." ولكن هذا وحده غير كاف لحل لغز معرفة من قتله... !؟
