تقدّم قائد الجند للنّيل من "حواء" باعتباره هو من يحق له النيل أولًا من فتاة لا تزال عذراء، ثم يتناوب عليها العساكر من بعده. ولما انتهى من قضاء وطره، تركها لهم فأمسكوا بها وطرحوها أرضًا وأطبقوا على الأيمن بحديد محمي. أحسّت بلسعة النار، فعلا صراخها وراحت تتلوى من الألم في حين تعالت ضحكاتهم.
خطب فيهم وقال: أنظروا بالله عليكم إلى زرقة سوادها. ثم أطلق ضحكة خليعة، واستدرك قائلًا: ولكننا لن نبخسها قدرها، وسنقذف فيها ماءً دافقًا يطهّر دمها الأسود الملوث الذي سنقطع بحول الله دابره من بلدنا إلى أبد الآبدين.
