مؤرخ وباحث عراقي، وُلد في مدينة الموصل شمال العراق، ودرس في كلية الهندسة، قسم الميكانيك، في الجامعة التقنية الشمالية، يعمل على دراسة الأدب العربي والتاريخ، مع عناية خاصة بالنصوص التراثية وتحليلها في سياقها الأدبي والتاريخي، ومن أعماله دراسة عن الشاعر الجاهلي طرفة بن العبد، تناول فيها سيرته وشعره، محاولًا استجلاء ملامح تجربته الشعرية وإبراز أبعادها الفنية والدلالية في إطارها التاريخي.
