يتناول هذا البحث دراسة المخاطر الجيومورفولوجية البيئية المرتبطة بسد الموصل، بوصفه أحد أهم المشاريع الاستراتيجية في العراق، والذي أُنشئ على نهر دجلة بين عامي 1981 و1985. يهدف البحث إلى تحليل التغيرات البيئية والجيومورفولوجية التي ظهرت في جسم السد وبحيرته نتيجة التقادم والعوامل الطبيعية. كما يسلّط الضوء على دور جغرافية المخاطر في فهم هذه الظواهر وتقييم آثارها على استقرار السد ووظائفه الحيوية، مثل الري وتوليد الطاقة. وتبرز الدراسة أهمية المعالجة العلمية لهذه المشكلات للحد من المخاطر المحتملة وضمان استدامة هذا المشروع الحيوي.
