أفادت هذه الدراسة من نظرية النقد الثقافي Cultural criticism وبعض مفاهيم التداولية Pragmatics في بناء تصور نقدي لخطاب التحول الثقافي في الشعر اليمني المعاصر, جرى تطبيقه على تجربة الشاعر عبد الله عبد الوهاب نعمان (الفضول), في الفترة الممتدة بين عودته إلى الشعر منتصف الستينيات حتى وفاته عام 1982م, انطلاقًا من ضرورة اقتران وعي الشاعر المعاصر لرؤية التحول الثقافي بإنجازه لها في نماذج شعرية (شعبية ونخبوية ورمزية) تتشارك فيها الذات النخبوية الجديدة مع الآخر المهمّش في إحداث سلوكيات ثقافية جديدة, تترسخ بها صورة جديدة للشخصية العربية في المخيال الجمعي تقضي على المركزية الذهنية للنموذج الفحولي, وبما يدعم تحول التصورات الجديدة إلى أنساق راسخة في اللاوعي الثقافي.
