يوضح الكتاب عمليات البيع والشراء التي تدور في اسواق الجمعة وما تحتويه في طياتها من تفاصيل متعددة تخص البائع والمشتري او عمليه الاستبدال وهل هناك فرق مادي يتحملهُ احد الطرفين وما يتكبده الطرف الأول من مشقّة محاولاً الوصول إلى السوق في وقت مبكر للحصول على مكان مناسب ويتمكن من عرض اغراضه واحيانا يتطلب الأمر من البعض التواجد في ساعات متأخره من يوم الخميس للحصول على مكان لعرض الاغراض والمبيت بقربها، مع وجود بعض الحالات المختلفة ممن يمتهنون هذه المهنة كمورد مادي ثاني اضافة الى عملهم الأصلي في باقي الايام ومن الملفت للنظر أيضا أن هذه الاسواق في الايام العادية تكون اما طريق للمارة او للسيارات أو ساحة عامة للوقف فتكون الحركة فيها عادية جدا على خلاف ما تكون علية في يوم الجمعة. وتم دراسة الحالات من عدة نواحي منها الاقتصادية والاجتماعية
