باحث وأستاذ جامعي، ومدير مختبر اللسانيات العربية وتحليل النصوص، شارك في العديد من المؤتمرات العلمية الدّولية في جامعات أم القرى بمكة المكرّمة، والجامعة الإسلامية في المدينة المنورة، والملك خالد في أبها، وجامعة القاهرة، وأسكيشهير بتركيا، وفي باريس، كما شارك في العديد من الملتقيات الوطنية، وهو خبير في مجلّات علمية محكّمة في الإمارات والسعودية وغيرهما، يعمل محرّرًا في المعجم التاريخي للغة العربية بالشارقة، ويدرّس حاليا مادة علم الدّلالة بجامعة معسكر، الجزائر.

إنّ المقصد الأساس من هذا الكتاب هو تحريك المياه الراكدة من حول شعرنا الجزائري القديم، وإعادة تقديمه عبر القراءة النقدية الواعية. وأعتبر سؤال المرجعية من أهمّ المداخل القرائية إلى هذا الموروث الشعري، من باب أنّ التعرّف على مرجعية الخطاب يؤدي إلى إدراك هويته وانتمائه، لأنّ مفهوم المرجعية هو الكفيل بتحديد كافة الظواهر الثقافية والفنية التي تحمل بذورا حوارية، وتسمح بتشكيل الخطاب الأدبي.
