رواية تحكي عن فتاة اسمها هالة، تعمل في كتابة الرسائل العاطفية دون أن تعيش أي مشاعر حقيقية، تستيقظ كل يوم كأنها آلة، حتى تصلها رسالة من امرأة على حافة الموت، فتبدأ رحلتها في تذكّر الحب الأول، أيوب، الذي غاب قبل أن يُفهم، ويعود قبل أن يُنسى. تسافر برفقة جد حنون يبحث معها عن المعنى، وتعيد عبر الذكريات بناء ذاتها المنهارة. النص يتناول فكرة الحب الصامت، الرسائل التي لا تُقرأ، الحرب التي تسرق منّا أحبتنا، وفكرة أن النضج ليس في النسيان بل في الاحتفاظ بالوجع دون أن يتحول إلى موت داخلي. يطرح كيف يمكن أن تكون الكلمات وسيلة خلاص، وكيف يصبح الصوت الذي فقدناه دليلًا للعودة. الحب، هنا، لا يُقال فقط بل يُفهم، ولا يُقاس بالزمن.
