يتناول القرآن الكريم عالم البرزخ بتفصيل في العديد من الآيات، حيث يتم تصويره كمكان لفصل الأرواح عن الأجساد، وهو مرحلة انتقالية لا يتم فيها تحديد المصير النهائي للمؤمنين والكافرين. يشير القرآن إلى وجود حياة بعد الموت، وهي ليست حياة بالمعنى المادي بل حياة روحانية، حيث يتواصل الناس مع بعضهم البعض من خلال رؤى وأحلام، ويعيشون حالة من الاستمرار الروحي حتى يوم القيامة. كما يتم الحديث عن حالات مختلفة في البرزخ مثل نعيم المؤمنين وعذاب الكافرين، مع التركيز على أن البرزخ هو مكان اختبار يُعطي الفرصة للموتى للاستعداد للآخرة.
