ان ما يسرني بعد ان اتم الله سبحانه وتعالى نعمته بإنجاز هذا الكتاب ان يكون بين يدي اعضاء هيئة التدريس وطلبتنا الأعزاء للاستفادة من المادة العلمية التي استوفاها الكتاب في علم الهندسة الوراثية وعلاقته بالنبات .
الهندسة الوراثية وكما هو معروف هو احد علوم اواخر قرن العشرين ، اذ تجاوز هذا المجال العمل المختبري ليصبح تطبيقياً في كافة المجالات خاصة في مجال تحسين النبات ، اتجه العالم الى انشاء مؤسسات اقتصادية في التنوع الوراثي من خلال انتاج انواع نباتية لها القدرة على كسر الحواجز البيئية المختلفة وذات انتاجيات عالية جداً ومتنوعة ادرت مبالغ ضخمة وحلت مشاكل كبيرة في دول ذات بيئات ضيقة الافق .
لقد استعرضت بشكل بسيط وسلس في عرض كافة التقنيات الهندسة الوراثية وابتعدت عن المغالاة لإظهار المعلومات بشكل واضح ، وارتكزت في ذلك من خلال دراستي ومعلوماتي وما قرأته في مجال الهندسة الوراثية وعلاقته بالنبات وتدريسي لمادة التقانات الاحيائية النباتية أو من خلال الابحاث العلمية والنظريات .
وبهدف ان يكون هذا الكتاب مساعداً للطلبة والباحثين بما يسهل ويوصل المعلومة حول هذا العلم الكبير اذ اعتمدت لكل موضوع رسوم توضيحية وبعض الابحاث العلمية الشخصية مع نتائجها لكي اسهل واوصل المعلومة المطلوبة .
لقد وضعت هذا الجهد المتواضع كي اوفر قاعدة بيانات علمية يتم الاستناد عليها في مجال الهندسة الوراثية خاصة في مجال تحسين النبات ، اذ تتوفر هذه المعلومة لذوي الاختصاص من الطلبة البيولوجيين والزراعيين لصلته باختصاصاتهم .
وفي الختام .... أقدم الشكر والتقدير لدار النشر والتوزيع لتبنيها نشر هذا الكتاب انطلاقاً من تعزيز نشر المعرفة والثقافة العلمية ومحاربة الجهل وتواصلاً مع المستحدثات العلمية اقدم هذه الخدمة الجليلة للإنسانية .
