هذا كتابٌ أردتُ به أن أصطحب القارئ معي الى قريتي، لا ليكتشف معالمها وتاريخها ولا ليكشف القناع عن طبائع وعادات وأعراف أهلها، بل ليعرف أن قريتي اسمها سُبك الضَّحاك وأني أحد أبنائها، ترعرَعتُ بين رِياضها وصِرتُ فيها يافعا ثم انقلبتُ كهلا وها أنذا أحطِّم الخمسين من عمري تحطيما سريعا.
نعم، من الحق أن أصارح القارئ بأن شعورا هزّ أعماق نفسي وطوايا روحي ومسّ شغاف قلبي أكثر من أي شيء آخر وبعث فيَّ النشاط لكي أنشر هذا الكتاب. فعل بنفسي كل هذا ذكرى أبي الحاج منير موسى، رحمه الله رحمة واسعة وغفر له، التي هي كل يوم من أيامي، فأبي بالنسبة لي كالجبل الشامخ أدبا وعلما وأنا في سفحه كالرمال. كان أبي، رحمه الله، محبا للقراءة ولاقتناء الكتب وكان دائما ما يقول لي:" إني لأرجو أن أعيش حتى أرى لك كتبا يَنتفِع الناس بها، أتعدني، أجبت نعم ان شاء الله." مضت الأيام بما تمضي به الأحداث ثم أَنبَأ المُنبِّئ ذات يوم أن أبي قد انتقل الى جوار به راضيا مرضيا.
السؤال: متى تتحقق أحلام أبي؟ والى متى تظل هذه الأحلام حبيسة في صندوق أمنياتي؟ الجواب: إن لم يتحقق حُلم أبي في حياته، فهذا لا يعني أن حُلمه، رحمه الله، قد انطفأ. نعم، من المؤلم جدا لكاتب هذا الكتاب أن يأتيه ما تمناه والده وقد تأخر الوقت كثيرا، لكن أن يتحقق الحُلم في وقت متأخر خير من ألا يتحقق أبدا. ها هي الرياح بعد طول غياب تجري بما تشتهيه سُفن الكاتب، ولله الحمد والمنة، وها هو ذا يبرّ بوعده لأبيه، وعليه فقد تقرَّر، وبالله التوفيق، نشر هذا الكتاب.
