(World-Building)

Kingdoms of the Afterlife is an Arabic dystopian science fiction novel and the first installment in a futuristic saga aimed at adult readers.
Set in a distant post-apocalyptic future, the story unfolds in the ancient central continent, specifically within the colony of Al-Adim (formerly the Nile Valley). Humanity survives through fractured tribes, imperial cosmic forces, and ruthless alliances competing for control over remnants of forbidden knowledge.
The narrative follows a teenage boy descended from the “Keepers of the Covenant,” whose life is irrevocably altered after a catastrophic event coinciding with the emergence of a mysterious figure and the return of a cosmic emperor sent by higher universal powers. A deadly race begins toward the Lost Oasis, a mythic gateway that opens only at a prophesied moment, concealing one of the nine secret tablets linked to eternal power.
Blending philosophical science fiction, dark fantasy, and dystopian world-building, the novel explores themes of survival, destiny, authority, and cultural identity in a future shaped by the collapse of the modern world.
