صدر هذا الكتاب في ظروف كانت فيها الأفكار الشيوعية والرأسمالية، في أوج ازدهارها ، وكانت أفكار هذا المعسكر الفكري والسياسي تتخذ من البلدان الإسلامية مسرح لنشر أفكارها مستهدفة بذلك مبادئ الإسلام الأساسية وفكره. فكان في خضم هذا الصراع المحموم بين الإسلام والمعسكرات المادية، هناك أصوات تعلوا من رجال علم وعمل من علماء مدرسة أهل البيت ومفكريها أخذوا على عاتقهم، مقارعة الفكر الماركسي والرأسمالي، موجهين سهام نقدهم إلى أسس ومفردات هذه المناهج الخاطئة، والمضلة ، موضحين خطأها وكاشفين عيوبها، وفاضحين زيفها ، برغم مما كان لهذه المناهج من شعارات براقة، ووعود معسولة، وأدوات سياسية تحكم بأسمائها، لم تكن ترعبهم السجون، أو يرهبهم النفي.
ويعتبر صاحب هذا الكتاب، من المفكرين البارزين، الذين نذروا أنفسهم لمقارعة المناهج الفكرية الضالة، تشهد له بذلك ساحة الفكر، وميدان الجهاد، بمواجهة المد الماركسي، والرأسمالي.
