يتكون الكتاب من مقدمة وتمهيد وفصلين وخاتمة وقائمة بالمصادر والمراجع، أما التمهيد فيتناول الأطفال وعلاقتهم بالتكنولوجيا والأدب الرقمي وثقافة الرقمنة، وأما الفصل الأول فهو دراسة نظرية ويتكون من مبحثين الأول منهما يتناول الأدب الرقمي ومفاهيمه وتقنياته والمبحث الثاني يتناول أدب الطفل بشكل عام وأدب الطفل الرقمي بشكل خاص، أما الفصل الثاني فهو الدراسة التطبيقية ويتناول في المبحث الأول أنواع أدب الطفل الرقمي من أدب إلكتروني وأدب رقمي وأدب تفاعلي وأبرز تطبيقات هذه الآداب، وفي المبحث الثاني اختار نماذج من أدب الطفل الرقمي التفاعلي وقام بتحليلها.
