كان الزلزال عظيماً و الفاجعة كبيرة و الجهود المبذولة هائلة , و لم تكن أعمال الإنقاذ قد توقفت لدقيقة واحدة خلال الأيام التي مضت حتى الآن على حدوث الزلزال .
و كان الأمل بالعثور على أحياء تحت الردم يتضاءل بسرعة .
في تلك اللحظة , وقفت مجموعة إنقاذ فوق المبنى المنهار , أعطى قائد المجموعة أمرَه بتحرّي النّاجين . جلس رجال المجموعة بهدوء فوق الركام يحاولون التقاط أيّة إشارة .
