المقدمة :
في عالم مملوء بالغموض, تتولى به الأحداث بشكل جدلي ما بين البر والحقد, عقيم غامض مخيف دائمًا, حيث تتنافس قوى النور ضد قوى الظلام في معركة دموية لا تنتهي, نكتشفُ من خلالها قصصاً ملحمية تتخطى القرون.
وهذه الملاحم الطاحنة الدامية المميتة منسوجة بتفاصيل موضوعية تتعلق بالحب والخيانة العظمى, والأمل الذي يعارض اليأس, والشجاعة التي يخيم عليها الخوف, تدور أحداث هذا الكتاب في صراع دمَوي ما بين الخير والشر, الذي أطلق علية الكاتب إليسيوم الحداثة, الذي تعدى خطوط الميثلوجيا الإغريقية للقرن الواحد والعشرين, كما ذكر لنا في كتابه عن تلك الجزيرة المظلمة, التي تقع في أقصى نهايات قرص الأرض, هناك تحت قشرتها الملتهبة, ذات اللهب الأسود, سنجد تلك الملاحم الأكثر عنفاً و إثارةً ودموّيةً في جوف جسد واحد. في عوالم الغموض والقبح, هناك خط رفيع فاصل ما بين قوى الخير والشّر, حيث تدخل قوى النور والظلام في صراعات أبدية, هنا تكمنُ حكاية تمتد عبر العصور, فصولٌ مختلفة تبدأ بالحب, والآخرى تنتهي بالخيانة العظمى, حيث كل فصل منها نجده يحتوي على مزيج, من الأمل واليأس والشجاعة والخوف, في أرض مليئة بالنزاعات والشجارات والخوف والقلق لقّبت بـــ (أرض ASH), الأرض التي ابتلعتها ألسنةُ النيران واللهب حتى الرماد.
