Vol. II has title: Illustrations of the game birds and water fowl of South America, by H. Grönvold; half-title: The birds of South America, vol. II (Plates). (Issued in 6 parts, 1915-17)
The work was to have comprised 16 vols. with 400 hand-coloured plates, but owing to the death of Lord Brabourne at Neuve-Chappelle in 1915, only v. 2 of the text has been published. The 38 plates already finished by Mr. Grönvold, with notes on most of the species by H. Kirke Swann, have been issued as v. 2. -- cf. Publisher's note, v. 2
