تاريخ اليهود في هولندا (Info)
نشأ معظم تاريخ اليهود في هولندا بين نهاية القرن 16 والحرب العالمية الثانية. وكانت المنطقة التي تعرف الآن باسم هولندا ذات يوم جزءاً من الإمبراطورية الإسبانية لكن عام 1581 أعلنت المقاطعات الشمالية الهولندية الاستقلال. وكان الدافع الرئيسي لرغبتها في ممارسة المسيحية البروتستانتية التي كانت وقتئذ محرمة تحت الحكم الإسباني، وبالتالي كان التسامح الديني عنصراً هاماً دستورياً للدولة المستقلة حديثا، وهذا حتما جذب انتباه اليهود الذين تعرضوا للاضطهاد الديني في أجزاء كثيرة من العالم.
