- المتكور المتأين (الغلاف الأيوني) (بالإنجليزية: Ionosphere) وهي الطبقة التي تعلو الاستراتوسفير من ارتفاع 80 كيلومتر تقريبا وحتى 360 كيلومتر أو أكثر وتتميز تلك الطبقة بخفة غازاتها ويسود فيها غاز الهيدروجين والهيليوم.
