يرتكز الخطاب الشعري عند حسين عدنان في 10.585 يوماً، على مفارقة رمزية، تحمل إنتقاداً مريعاً للعالم حوله، كما يُعبر عن مدى الإحباط القاتل الذي يعيشه راوي التجربة الشعرية، وهو هنا الشاعر الذي يعتريه قلق وجودي دائم حول السلام الذي يروم رؤيته، وسط هذا الركام من الألم على مستوى (الذات / الوطن) وعلى مستوى (الذات / الهوية)، إحساساً منه بسوء الحاضر ومأساتهِ.
لذلك، يبدأ أولى قصائده بسؤال: "من أنت؟": هويتك: / الملامح التي لا تعرفها في المطارات / الجرائد المهملةُ / إنتظار الشعراء / جوعُ الذين أضاعوا خرائط حريتهم / في خطوط كفوفهم / من شدة الدعاء...".
من هنا، يكون القارئ إزاء تجربة شعرية متكاملة بما تمثله من حضور فني ضمن منجز إبداعي ينفتح على قضايا عامة وطرحها كثيمة شعرية تتصدر أغلب النصوص بما فيها الحرب والغربة والوطن والوجع، إلى غير ذلك من مشاعر خاصة تعتري الكائن الحي في عصرنا الراهن، وعلى قدر من الإتساق مع الأيديولوجيا السائدة حول الموقف مما يجرين وإن كان بلغة الشعر.
يقول الشاعر في القصيدة المعنونة "معلقة من نسيان": "الفقراءُ الذين نسوا من هُم... النبلاء الذين أضاعوا الأصدقاء... الثوار الذين فقدوا سكنهم في البلد الجديد... البدوُ الذين خلعوا بداوتهم في حفلٍ ما... الأرصفة... المقاهي... الحرية... الأغاني... الأقرباء... المراهقة... الطفولة... ما هذا النسيان الذي يجعل الإنسان - مع الوقت - جسداً من كم وقلباً من فولاذ؟!... يتذكر كل هذه التفاصيل... ويذهب لإلتهام طعامه وهو يتحدث عن أمر آخر!"...
وبهذا الحس الإنساني الرهيف، وبهذا الإلتزام بقضية الإنسان يرسم شاعرنا ملامح نصه بإتقان تام شكلاً ومضموناً.
