وُلِدَ رياض الصالح الحسين في مدينة درعا في 10/3/1954 لأب موظف بسيط من قرية مارع في شمال يركض في عينيه كوكب مذبوح

وُلِدَ رياض الصالح الحسين في مدينة درعا في 10/3/1954 لأب موظف بسيط من قرية مارع في شمال حلب
.كان والده يتنقّل مع عائلته بين المدن السورية ثلاثين عامًا
.منعه الصمم و البكم من إكمال دراسته، فدأب على تثقيف نفسه بنفسه
.اضطر إلى ممارسة العمل مبكرًا، كعامل و موظف و صحفي، و عانى من مشكلة البطالة
.كان مستمرًّا في كتابة الشعر و الموضوعات الصحفية منذ عام 1976 حتى وفاته
:أصدر ثلاث مجموعات شعريّة في حياته
خراب الدورة الدمويّة - مطابع وزارة الثقافة - دمشق 1979
أساطير يوميّة - مطابع وزارة الثقافة - دمشق 1980
بسيط كالماء واضح كطلقة مسدَّس - دار الجرمق - دمشق 1982
.أنجز مجموعته الشعريّة "وعل في الغابة" قبل وفاته
.كتب في الشعر، القصة القصيرة، قصص الأطفال، المقالة الصحفية، و النقد الأدبي
.كتب عن الموت، و كتب في تمجيد الحياة كثيرًا
.توفي في مستشفى المواساة بدمشق عصر يوم 21/11/ 1982
