إن أسمى الغايات، وأنبل المقاصد أن يحرص الإنسان على فعل الخير، ويسارع إليه، وبهذا تسمو إنسانيته، ويتشبه بالملائكة، ويتخلق بأخلاق الأنبياء والصديقين... لذلك، فقد أوصى الإسلام الحنيف الإنسان أن يفعل الخير مع الناس، بغض النظر عن معتقداتهم وأعراقهم، يقول سبحانه:{ فاستبقوا الخيرات أين ما تكونوا يأت بكم الله جميعاً، إن الله على كل شيء قدير}البقرة 148.
إن غايات الناس مختلفة، وأهدافهم شتى فمنهم من تتحكم فيه الأنا والشهوات، كالجاه والتجبر والعلو في الأرض بغير حق، أما الإيمان فإنه يجعل وجهة المؤمن، متجهة إلى فعل الخير والمسابقة إليه.. لذلك يجب أن يكون شعار المسلم وغاية المسلم في الحياة ،(وافعلوا الخير لعلكم تفلحون لعلكم تفلحون) الحج .
