التحقت بالعمل لدينا- ببيت العائلة- شابة متزوجة ولها طفلة صغيرة اسمها نسمة، وكانت أم نسمة تعمل لدينا يومين فقط فى الأسبوع، وكانت نموذجا للسيدة القنوعة المؤدبة التى تؤدى عملها فى صمت ومن النادر أن تغضب أحدًا فى البيت أو تأتى متأخرة عن موعدها، وكانت تحضر معها نسمة بين الحين والآخر.
فى أحد الأيام سقط زوج أم نسمة من نافذة إحدى العمارات وهو يركب مكيفًا لأحد الزبائن، وأصيب إصابات بالغة أقعدته فى البيت بلا عمل، وكان لا بد ان تضاعف أم نسمة جهودها لإطعام وتربية أربعة أطفال ورجل مريض بالبيت، استطاعت أم نسمة بحسن خلقها وحدها أن تكسب ثقة وعطف كل بيوت العائلة التى كانت تقسم وقتها بينهم، وكان الجميع يعتبرها جزءًا من العائلة، ولا يبخل عليها بشيء هى وأولادها وزوجها المريض، ومرت الأيام وكبرت نسمة التى حصلت على دبلوم التجارة رغم أنها كانت تساعد أمها هى وأختها فى كثير من الأوقات.
فى أحد الأيام جاءت أم نسمة تخبرنا أن هناك عريسًا متقدم لنسمة، وظلت تشكر فى مواصفاته، فهو حاصل على دبلوم الصنايع و»كسِّيب» وعمل أربع سنوات فى ليبيا، وعنده شقة والبنت تريده.
ظننت أنها تقول لنا هذا الكلام طلبا للمساعدة فى تجهيز نسمة، وكنا بالطبع مستعدون لذلك، فنحن نعتبر أبناء وبنات هذه السيدة مثل أولادنا، ولا بد أن نقوم بالواجب نحوهم.
لكن كان طلب أم نسمة مختلفًا، فقد طلبت حضورى لقراءة فاتحة وخطوبة نسمة، لأن والد نسمة مريض ومقطوع من شجرة، ولا بد أن يحس العريس بأن نسمة لها «عِزوَة».
كان طلب أم نسمة غريبًا، لكن بعد تفكير وضغط من الأهل وافقت على الحضور لدعم أم نسمة أمام نسايبها الجدد، شكرتنى أم نسمة وظلت تدعو لى ولأهل البيت على الوقوف معها.
قلت لأم نسمة: ما هو عنوانك؟ وهل حددتم الموعد؟ قالت نعم، الموعد يوم الإثنين بعد القادم، والمكان الذى نعيش فيه فى أبوسليمان ليس بمقامك، وظلت تصف موقع المكان وكأنه يقع فى كوكب آخر، ثم قالت: ياريت يادكتور لا تأتى بسيارتك وتأتى بتاكسي.. لأن الناس هناك عيونهم سيئة وأياديهم طويلة، ثم استطردت قائلة: وأنا أعرف سائق تاكسى من الحى سيأخدك ويعود بك إلى هنا.
قلت: موافق يا أم نسمة لقد أرحتِنى من البحث عن عنوانك.
