يرتكز النص الشعري عند سمية المرزوقي في جديدها "نقطة وكفى" على نوع من البناء الدرامي القصصي الذي يفرض أسلوبه على نص الشاعرة في طريقة عرضها وتقديمها للحكاية، يتمظهر هذا أكثر بوجود راوٍ موضوعي يتمثل بالشاعرة ذاتها التي سوف تصبح على طول النص هي الراوي وهي الأداة البنائية المركزية في القصيدة، يساعدها عنصر الوصف في تقديم صور مختلفة عن أشياء الأنثى الكامنة في داخلها والتي لا تتورع عن تقديم نفسها أمام المخاطب، تقول الشاعرة: "تعود للأنثى فتنتها في إحدى الحالتين: إن وقعت في حبٍّ ينسيها الحب العتيق... أو تحررت من عبودية الشوق "اللعين"... لا شيء من حولي... يُعد ضمن المحسوبيات... حينما تطغى المشاعر... ويفيض بي الإحساس... فإن كل المتحركات... تُصبح جامدة... والجوامد تتحرك في... حضرة الخيال... تنقلب الآيات؟... يصبح للصمت صوت... وتخرس حنجرة الأصوات... تضيع من القواميس المعاني، وتلد المحابر كلماتٍ بلا إعراب".
هكذا، فإن الذات الشاعرة هنا، هي من يقوم بتقديم شخصيتها، وما تود قوله بالنيابة عن بنات جنسها، وبهذا يكون دورها أشبه العمل الراوي ضمن البناء الدرامي للقصيدة.
"نقطة وكفى" قصيدة في الشعر العربي الحديث توزعت في الكتاب على مائة وثمانون مقطعاً شعرياً.
