هذه المذكرات انتقائية , فنحن في الشرق نكتب عن انفسنا بحذر شديد خشية السوط الاخلاقي.وليس كل ما مر بالانسان يصلح للكتابة عنه , وليست الذاكرة مهياة لاستعادة الذكرياتِ بعد الستين .
اعاني من صعوبة في كتابة المذكرات لاسباب عدة , فبعض من اتناولهم احياء او اصدقاء .
ورغم اني اتجنب الاسماء فاعتصم بالحروف ورغم حيادية وانصاف وحذرامارسها قدر استطاعتي لكني اضطر للحذف بسبب اعتراضات مقربين , فهي ليست حياتك وحدها ولست حرا تماما فيما تكتب .
لم اكن اتوقع اني ساكتب مذكرات لكني بعد ستين سنة وجدتني مدفوعا لذلك فالمذكرات منجم لعلماء الاجتماع وعلم والنفس والتاريخ وخبراء الفلكلور .
والذكريات تساعد النقاد لفك الشفرات لدى الكاتب وتمنع الكثير من الالتباسات.
