يقفُ أغلبية المسلمين اليوم في منتصف الطريق، بين مُتطرِّفٍ مُجرم يقتل الناس باسم الإسلام ومتعصِّبٍ أعمى يرى أنَّ المتطرِّف يمثل الإسلام الحقيقي أو كما عبَّر أحدهم (داعش والقاعدة أكثر إسلاميَّةً من كل المسلمين لأنَّهم يؤمنون بالقرآن والسُّنة أجمعها وليس منتقاها)، وبسبب ذلك نجد أعدادًا لا يُستهان بها من شباب المسلمين وقعوا في حبال إبليس، أمَّا مُتطرِّفًا أو مُتعصِّبًا _ إلَّا مَن رحم ربي _ وممَّا يُثير الاستغراب أنَّه في خضمِّ هذا الصِّراع العالميِّ نجد أنَّ أغلبيَّة المسلمينَ منشغلونَ بصراعاتٍ جانبيَّةٍ لا قيمةَ لها، أو صامتون غيرُ مبالين بما يحدث من حولهم من إرهاب ينخر في جسد المسلمين ويُهدِّد مستقبلهم ومستقبل أبنائهم وأوطانهم وحتى مستقبل إسلامهم، فتراهم لا يملكون الردود الصارمة على من يحاول أن يجعل دين الله دين ذبح وقتل؛ ولذا جاء هذا الكتاب ليوفِّر المعلومات الضرورية التي يجب على كل مسلم ومهتمٍّ بالإرهاب معرفتها ليوضِّح للناس جميعًا أصلَ الخللِ وأساسَهُ ليتنَّسى لهم الوقوفُ بوجه بحور الدم التي تجري في الكثير من البلدان بدلاً عن إضاعة الوقت والجهد في حروبٍ جانبيَّةٍ لا نفع منها. كما إنَّ هذا الكتاب ضروريٌّ لكلِّ أبٍ مسلمٍ حريصٍ على أولاده ولا يريد لهم أن يقعوا في مصائد إبليس.
