فيها يلج القارئ عالم السرد الغارق بالدماء، حيث يصور عملية التفكك والتحول في سوريا، منذ أربعة عقود، أو منذ بداية هذا القرن، فيبين أن التحول لم يكن إلا قفزة نحو الفراغ، حيث تصير الحياة بلا معنى والمستقبل بلا أفاق، مدعماً أفكاره بسيرورة شخصيات ينتقلون من وضع إلى أخر، من القرى الصغيرة النائية، إلى تجارة التهريب، إلى مواقع السلطة والفساد، إلى الشرطة التي لا ترتدع لأخلاق أو لقيم، فتصير الشرطة، الأمن، الأداة، التي تسيطر على كل شيء، وتبنى شبكات عنكبوتية تلتهم المجتمع بداخله، مع هذا الظهور المتطرف للسلطة برز دورها وكثرت سجونها ومراكز اعتقالها، وراحت تتحكم بالبلاد بلا قانون أو تشريع، فساد قانون الغاب ، حيث البقاء للأقوى، والموت للأضعف، وبالتالي انعدمت قيم الحرية والجمال والمحبة والعلم.
