وكان الصبي يبكي، بللت وجهه الدموع التي سالت وتركت أثراً على كتفها، رفع رأسه ومسح وجهه، انسلّ من جانبها صامتاً وسار متمهلاً نحو التل، نادته، التفت إليها، سألته: "هل تعود لزيارتي؟"، طأطأ ولم يجبها وانطلق يعدو صاعداً التل. كل يوم كانت "الغريبة" تنتظر الصبي، لكنه لم يعد لزيارتها مرّة أخرى، هجرها مثل كل شيء آخر جميل في حياتها، وما عرفت أبداً أن الصبي ما زال يتردد كل يوم على مسكنه، يتابعها ويحرسها من بعيد، يبكي كلما هزت أرجوحتها الخالية ويشاركها الغناء وهي ترنّم في المساء أغنية العذاب". قصص هي صور من الحياة، هي منعطفات إنسانية خطرة تحلو للقاص المرور عليها، الوقوف عندها ملياً، ضمن لمحات أدبية واعتبارات نقدية صامتة.
