وهذا الكتاب يهدف إلى تقديم طريقة مبتكرة، يستخدمها الشخص نفسه في رسم صورة حياته النفسية، انطلاقاً من اختبارات مختلفة. وهو يجمع للمرة الأولى كبار العلماء، المختصين بتصنيف أنماط الشخصية، كما يطلع القارئ على التصنيف المعروف باسم DSMIV. وكل اختبار مختص بالكشف عن جانب من جوانب الشخصية ويرتبط رمزياً بأحد عناصر الوجه. وعليه، فإن التناقضات الظاهرة تنمحي كما في حالة الوجه الذي يكامل بشكل متناسق إلى حد ما بين عناصر الأشكال المختلفة. بهذه الطريقة، فإن النتائج التي يحصل عليها القارئ، عبر إجراءه كل واحد من الاختبارات تشكل، بالتدرج، صورة نفسية، الأمر الذي يمكنه أن يكشف عن مختلف جوانب شخصيته.
