رواية ملاك الجحيم تأليف أرنستو ساباتو إنها آخر عمل روائى قدمه الأرجنتينى "أرنستو ساباتو"، وهى واحدة من الاعمال التى تلخيصها حيث أنها مزدحمة بالأحداث المتشابكة، والمشاهد المتقطعة ، وتتراكم فيها المشاهد المثيرة للرعب، والتى تشكلت فى كوابيس مرعبة لا تخرج من ذاكرة قارئها ولا تفارق بصيرة مشاهدها، ولأن "ساباتو" ليس متصالحاً مع واقعه، ولأنه يرفض هذا العصر الذى حول الإنسان إلى أداة تستهلك منتجات العصر ذاته، حوّل عالمه الروائى إلى كابوس يملأ صاحبه رعباً، فهنا عصابة للتزوير، وهناك أخرى للتهريب، وبينهما عصابة لارتكاب الموبقات وأهونها القتل بدون عذاب، ومن حول هذه وتلك عرافات ومشعوذون ونساء يسترقن النظرة شهوة إلى الجنس بعيون مفترسة متوحشة.
