ليس هذا الكتاب هو الأوّل في موضوعه، لكنّه أوّل كتاب اشتمل على تأصيل متين للرأي الذي ذهب إليه بعض علماء العرب اليوم، في أنّ العربية هي أصل اللغات جميعا. لم يعتمد المؤلّف في استخراج القواعد الضابطة للتأثيل على تشابه الكلمات كما فعل الكثير ممن تطرّق لهذا الأمر من قبل، أو ما قام به بعضهم من استخراج لبعض الجذور اللغوية من العربية وحاول أن يجد لها صلة في اللغات الغربية، بل نظر المؤلّف إلى اللغات على أنّها ميراث الشعوب، ووسيلة التخاطب والتفاعل بين الأفراد عبر السنين، ولغة الحياة، وهو موجّه أساسا إلى بعض الدارسين العرب، وليس كلّ العرب، لأنّه يوجد من بيننا من يُسمّي هذه الأبحاث بالخزعبلات والهرطقات، وليس لهم حجّة في ذلك سوى ما تعلّموه في المدارس الغربية، أو ما حكم عليه علماء الغرب بالخطأ والصواب. لا نريد أن نذهب بعيدا في الوصف والتحليل، فالكتاب بين يديك أيها القارئ الكريم ولك أن تحكم بنفسك على مضمونه.
