حيث قام بجمع الكتب لكل عصرٍ من العصور التاريخية مبتدئة بالعرب قبل الإسلام والإمبراطوريات القديمة، ثم قامت بدراسة عصر الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم ثم العهد الراشدي فالأموي فالعباسي والفاطمي والأيوبي والمملوكي والعثماني، ثم درست تاريخ العالم الحديث: والأمبراطوريات الحديثة البريطانية والفرنسية والألمانية والإيطالية والأمريكية والروسية، ثم درست تاريخ الإستعمار الحديث والمعارك العالمية (الحرب العالمية الأولى والثانية) وحتى يومنا هذا.
وبعد جمع المعارك قام المؤلف بتبويبها وترتيبها حسب الحروف الهجائية وإختصار ما يمكن إختصاره، وقد تم جمع المعلومات على ست مجالات وهي: "تاريخ المعركة"، "مكان المعركة"، "سبب المعركة"، "الأطراف المتحاربة"، "النتيجة"، "قادة المعركة".
وبعض المعارك تم التوسع بها لأهميتها وبعضها إقتصرت على الجوانب الستة فقط.
