Book Description
أتت كلمة أوبرا من الإيطالية وتعني عمل، وهذه الكلمة هي إختصار لتعبير "Open in musica"، أي عمل من خلال الموسيقا.
والأوبرا هي دراما ملحنة يغنيها المغنون بمرافقة الآلات الموسيقية، وقد نشأ هذا الشكل في العقد الأخير من القرن السادس عشر، وكان نتيجة إجتماعات عقدها شعراء وموسيقيون في قصر الكونت باردي في فلورنسا هدفوا من ورائها إلى إحياء الدراما اليونانية، لقد رغبوا في إعادة ما كان يجري في المسرح اليوناني حسب ظنهم.
وبالطبع، إن ما أنجزوه كان شيئاً مختلفاً تماماً، والأمثلة المبكرة لهذا الشكل نجدها عند بيري (1561- 1633) وكاتشيني (1545- 1618)، وكان الإلقاء المنغم "الريسيتانيف" هو المعْلم المسيطر، لكن مع مونتيفيردي، الذي انشغل بالعمل الأوبرالي بدءاً من 1607 إلى 1642، تطورت الأوبرا سريعاً مستعيرة عناصر من المادريغال ومن الموسيقا الكنسية الفينيسية المنمقة.
كان كلوديو مونتيفيردي الأول بين مولفي الأوبرا العظام، بالطبع كان أسلوبه محدود الوسائل - إنه يتضمن في معظمه ريسيتاتيفا، ويخلو من الآريات، لهذا يبدو وكأنه ليس أكثر من ريسيتاتيف طويل يتخلله أحياناً فاصل أوركسترالي.
لكن الشيء المتميز في ريسيتاتيف مونتيفيردي هو جودته، إنه يبدو صادقاً بكل ما في الكلمة من معنى، وفيه إحساس مدهش، وقد حذا كافللي حذو مونتيفيردي، لكن حصل تقدم أكبر، على الصعيد الشكلي، على يدأ، سكارلاتي الذي ألّف 115 أوبرا في الفترة ما بين عام 1679 و 1725، وقد استخدم المرافقة الآلية مع الريسيتاتيف عام 1686.
