مسرحية ملك الزبالة حدثت بالفعل .. وقائعها فى دمشق عام 365 – 373هـ. كما ذكرها د. شاكر مصطفى فى دراسته فى مجلة الآداب والتربية فى جامعة الكويت العددين الثالث والرابع يونيو وديسمبر 1973 – 223.
وكما ذكر بن الاثير ص 10 – 205.
أهدى هذه المسرحية الى " الزبال " النبيل قسام التراب أو قنيم الزبال الذى حكم الشام لمدة سبع سنوات فنظف شوارعها وعدل بين الناس وألغى الوزراء والأمراء والبيروقراطية فى الوقت الذى فشل فيه كل من العزيز الفاطمى فى مصر والخليفة العباسى فى بغداد وامبراطور الروم.. وأمير القرامطة .. الى هذا الزبال الذى رفض أن ينام على الحرير وأن يسرق شعبه أو يُسرق أمام عينه.
الى تاريخنا العربى الجميل فى زمن حكم الزبالين.
