مسرحيات يوربيديس الكاتب يوريبيديس
«ليسَ أَحدٌ مِن الأحياءِ سَعِيدًا، وإذا كانَ تيَّارُ الثروةِ يتدفَّقُ عَليه تدفُّقًا، فقد يكونُ أوفرَ مِن غَيرِه حَظٍّا، ولكنَّه لَن يكونَ سَعِيدًا.»
ما مِن شَعبٍ امتلَكَ ناصِيةَ الأَدبِ المَسْرحيِّ مِثْلَ شَعبِ اليُونَان؛ فقَدْ كانَتِ المَسْرحِيَّاتُ تَجْرِي عَلى أَلسِنَتِهِم كَما يَجرِي المَاءُ فِي النَّهْر. وَقدِ اعتَمَدَتِ المَسْرحِيَّاتُ اليُونانيَّةُ عَلى الأَساطِير؛ فَفِيها يَتَّضِحُ تَدخُّلُ الآلِهةِ لِصالِحِ أحَدِ الطَّرفَيْن، فنَراها تُناصِرُ فريقًا وتَخْذُلُ آخَر. وتَستَمِدُّ مَسْرحيَّةُ «أفجنيا في أولس» أَحْداثَها مِن حَربِ طروادة؛ إذْ يُضحِّي المَلِكُ أجاممنن بِابنَتِه أفجنيا لتَنطلِقَ الجُيُوشُ لِاستِعادةِ هيلين زَوْجةِ أَخِيهِ المُختَطَفة، لكِنَّ تَدخُّلَ الآلِهةِ يُنقِذُ الابْنَة. وتُستَكمَلُ القِصَّةُ في المَسْرحيَّةِ الثانِيةِ «أفجنيا في تورس» بِلِقائِها بأَخِيها فِي جَزِيرةِ تورس النَّائِية. وَفِي مَسْرحيَّةِ «ميديا» يُحذِّرُنا يوربيديس مِن نُكْرانِ مَعْروفِ المَرأَة، وكَيفَ يَكُونُ الِانتِقامُ مُؤلِمًا! وَفِي «هبوليتس» تَتدخَّلُ فينس ربَّةُ الحُبِّ لِتُعذِّبَ هبوليتس، الَّذِي أرادَ التَّخلُّصَ مِنَ الحُبِّ الجِنسِي، فدَبَّرَتْ مَقتَلَهُ عَلى يَدِ أَبِيه، فهَلْ تُفلِحُ في ذَلِك؟
