وجوب حجاب المرأة أمام الرجل الأجنبيّ من المسائل الإسلاميّة الهامّة، فقد جاء التصريح بذلك في القرآن الكريم نفسه، ومن هنا لا يُمكن التشكيك بإسلاميّة هذه المسألة.
إنّ ستر المرأة نفسها أمام الرجل الأجنبيّ مظهر من مظاهر لزوم وضع سور وحدٍّ بين الرجال والنساء الأجنبيّات، كما أنّ حرمة خلوّ الأجنبيّ بالأجنبيّة مظهر آخر من مظاهر ذلك.
