كاتب ومؤرخ مصري راحل توفى عام 2003،وكان والده مفتياً للمغرب إبان حكم الملك محمد الخامس، وتوفي ودفن هناك .
يعد أحد كبار مؤرخى الحركة الناصرية والعهد الناصرى إذ كتب مذكرات معظم قادة الثورة المصرية بعد خروجهم من السجون التي سجنهم فيها الرئيس الراحل أنور السادات، فيما عرف بقضية مراكز القوى في 15 مايو (أيار) عام 1971، بعد 7 أشهر من وفاة سلفه جمال عبد الناصر.
أثارت المذكرات التي أعدها الكاتب الراحل لقادة ثورة يوليو، وخاصة مذكرات رئيس المخابرات المصرية الأسبق صلاح نصر، ونائب الرئيس علي صبري، وكمال الدين وسامي شرف ووجيه أباظة، جدلا شديدا في الحياة السياسية المصرية، وفجرت العديد من القضايا حول ممارسات عبد الناصر والسادات.
لكن عبد الله امام ظل مدافعا عن عبد الناصر وثورة يوليو حتى آخر نفس في حياته.

في هذا الكتاب يفتح صلاح نصر قلبه ويتحدث في حوار امتد لساعات تذكر فيها كل شيء، وهذا الكتاب يسرد لنا محصلة هذا الحوار مع الرجل الذي كان رأسًا لجهاز المخابرات العامة المصري، في أخطر سنوات ثورة يوليو، وما يميز هذا الكتاب أن الذي يحكي لنا هذه الأحداث ألا وهو صلاح نصر، كان مخزنًا للأسرار في مصر طوال عشر سنوات. وهذا الكتاب يغطي وجهة نظر صلاح نصر في كل القضايا المطروحة في الشارع العربي عامة والشارع المصري خصوصًا، ويحدثنا هنا عن الثورة وعن المخابرات وعن النكسة وعن كل ما دار فيهما وعن مقدماتهما وأسرارهما وغير ذلك من السرد الطويل لما يحمله هذا الرجل من ذكريات. ويتميز الكتاب بأنه يحتوي على ألبوم صور هام يفتتح به الكتاب والذي يضم صورًا لصلاح نصر مع عبدالناصر وغيره من رؤوس الدولة.
